when that random question comes up in conversation - and no one understands why, that is what most people would perhaps call awkward. i, on the other hand, tend to lean towards amusing. for people are amusing in the ways in which they randomly ask, “what is your favorite kind of cookie?”, to which, i undoubtably answer, “freshly baked chocolate chip”.
